Henley's Executive MBA Global number 1 in the Nordics in Financial Times Executive MBA 2024 rankings

This year’s Financial Times Executive MBA (EMBA) ranking sees Henley Business School number 1 in the Nordics. Henley also achieved strong positions in the world top 55 (No. 52), Europe top 30 (No. 27), and no. 5 in the UK.

Henley rated particularly highly for international course experience, career progress and diversity.

Alumni gave Henley's EMBA course an average score of 9.26/10 based on their experience and how they felt their goals were fulfilled.

International course experience

Reflecting the richness of the EMBA-Global experience and being part of a diverse international cohort, Henley held onto the No. 1 position in the Nordics for international course experience and achieved its best global position at No. 14.

Working with our international partners in the UK, Nordics, South Africa and the US, our programmes provide students an outlook on global business.

Henley also reclaimed the top position in the Nordics for the number of international students studying the Henley EMBA Global.

Graduate career progress and salary

Henley’s graduate career progress retained a number 32 position in Europe and No.64 in the world – a measure which reflects the growth in the level of seniority of our graduates, as well as the size of organisations they are working for.

Henley also saw an improvement in the Salary (today) ranking (No. 2 in the Nordics, No. 34 Europe and No. 75 world), which focuses on the average salary three years after course completion. With graduates reporting a 49 percent increase in their salaries, Henley was also placed in the top 40 in Europe for salary increase.

Recognising the quality and calibre of the students joining Henley’s EMBA programme, Henley climbed two places in the world rankings for the Work Experience criteria, which measures the seniority of positions held, number of years in each position, the organisation size and overseas work experience.

Equity, Diversion and Inclusion

Reflecting Henley’s commitment to staff and student diversity, Henley improved across all the gender measures, moving closer to the perfect 50/50 student gender balance this year. Additional criteria of note include:

-Women on the board - No. 1 in the Nordics, Europe and the world

-Women faculty – No. 1 in the Nordics, No. 5 in Europe and the world

Henley also retained its No. 1 position in the Nordics (No. 12 Europe, No. 19 world) for the Carbon Footprint measure, reflecting the Business School’s green credentials and commitment to working towards net zero carbon emission targets.

I am very proud and humbled by Henley being awarded again the #1 position for EMBA programme in the Nordics by the Financial Times. Moreover, our programme has become truly global consisting of students from the Nordic countries, UK and South-Africa. This will further strengthen our position as the best place to study for those working in multinational environments and wanting to do business abroad.

I am also very pleased of our global nro. 1 position in gender balance”

- Matti Katara, Henley Business School 's Business Director for EMBA – Global, Finland
